Sabudana is a well-known food item in India. It is also called as sago, Tapioca Pearl, Pearl Sago. The botanical name of humble sabudana is Manihot Esculenta Crantz Syn. Some of you may not be aware that sabudana is processed food. It is the starch extracted from Tapioca root (tuber).
In many parts of our country, sabudana is used to break the fast during festivals. It is also used as first baby food apart from milk. Do you know why sabudana is preferred in these two situations?
There is a reason. Sabudana is full of starch. About 87% of sabudana is starch/carbohydrate. Sabudana is devoid of any artificial sweeteners or chemicals.
