What to do in case of nosebleed?

Nosebleed is defined as blood dripping from one or two nostrils. It may happen for few seconds or may be up to 10 min.

  1. Sit down and pinch your nose (soft part of nose) for 10 to 15 min
  2.  Bend forward to avoid blood dribbling into throat
  3. Place an ice pack on bridge of nose
  4. Do not lie down

Seek medical attention if:

o   Bleeding is too much

o   Causing vomiting

o   Bleeding not stopping even after 10 min

o   Breathlessness or palpitation (pumping heart)
