During rainy season we must be cautious about the food. In this season major problem is that the digestive system. Hence, we must avoid street foods and oily foods as they cause infection in stomach. To avoid diseases like malaria, dengue, viral fever, conjunctivitis etc. we should be cautious about the food what to eat. Following are some health tips for rainy season:

  • Eating fruits will helps to restore the energy. Fruits like mangoes, apples, pears and pomegranates are good for health in monsoon season.
  • Taking watery foods like water melon, lassi, muskmelon are no as suitable as they were in summer.
  • There is high risk of water contamination in rainy season. Drink boiled water or purified water to protect from harmful germs. And drink plenty of water to keep body hydrated.
  • All vegetables should be washed properly before cooking. Using garlic, ginger, black pepper and turmeric in food helps to boost the immune system and avoids monsoon diseases.
  • Avoid heavy salt foods as they responsible for high blood pressure and water retention.
  • Street foods and foods from roadside vendors should be avoided as they are most vulnerable to the diseases.
  • Brown rice, barely and oats are best foods in monsoon.
  • Adding garlic to the soups, curries and sir fries will boost the body immunity system.
