The human body is made up of several different body parts but the heart is one of the critical organs without which no one can survive. In an average lifetime, it beats millions of times. It pumps blood to every part of the body and the brain.

According to a study published in September 2018 issue of health journal - The Lancet, 15% of deaths in India were due to heart diseases in 1990, which is now up to 28%. It is almost double, and it is due to our carelessness. Because if one do not keep the heart happy, they cannot live a healthy life.

Heart care should be a daily routine and should continue throughout our lifetime.

  3. Eating habits: Do not fill your body with junk, it will create a vacuum in the body and do more harm. It does not provide any nutrition to your body.Without proper maintenance of a car, the engine stops working, isn't it? Our heart is like an engine, it drives all function of the body and that is the reason we are alive.A healthy and balanced diet is a must.
  4. Stop smoking: Smoking just keeps making heart weak day by day. In a long run, it will have severe adverse effects on the heart and overall health. A smoke-free lifestyle greatly reduces the risk of heart disease.

It’s important to fuel our heart with the right food, particularly for those of us living with heart disease or diabetes.

Always remember that metabolism slows down as you get older, hence it is very important to maintain a balanced diet that helps your heart stay healthy. Hence act now before it is too late.

  • Use herbs and spices instead of salt.
  • Opt for berries, avocados, beans, walnuts, leafy green vegetables Fatty fish which may help lower blood pressure, cholesterol, and inflammation.

If you start experiencing dizziness, fatigue, shortness of breath, cold sweats, confusion or headaches without any apparent cause, consult your doctor as these could be warning signs of heart disease. It would not necessarily be a heart attack or serious worrisome situation if you can identify early and start medication as per the doctor's prescription.

But yes if you ignore these sign it may become serious and also a life-threatening situation for some.
